in the room, he will see a dark underground temple. the walls are black stone and purple and gold marble. there's a deep pool in the center of the room with stairs that descend down through the pool into emptiness.
at the head of the temple is a statue of a woman in dancer's garb, with a headdress covering her eyes and two swords. tall and imposing. and in shadowheart's imagination, the woman speaks with a voice you hear only in your head.]
All you must do is use my spear to end her light. And then you will become a Dark Justiciar, blessed with my power. You will become my voice to those embrace me, and my sword arm against those who would do me harm.
[shadowheart is frightened, grabs his arm to try to draw him back from going further in there.]
[ he doesn't have the context here, but the scene before them still carries eeriness and gravitas, and he only shoots the statue a look before going right along with her. the room is still dark, and the sound of water seems to follow them all the same. ]
[ well, some murder is okay... he chances a look back to see if they're making some headway. even in a dream, this feels like a dangerous person to turn their back on. ]
Well. It was a few things, really. First of all, she was a prisoner. [it doesn't exactly feel good to kill someone who is chained up and helpless.] Second of all, my friends didn't want me to, and their opinion mattered. And third of all, she made some good arguments.
She seemed to know certain things about my past, things Lady Shar has always hidden from me. I wanted to hear what she had to say more than I wanted to obey.
