I think it does get easier, when pain is predictable, but in the sense that it hardens you against it.

[she doesn't just mean two cyoas, she is not a stranger to frequent pain.]

It shields you but also turns you into someone who is all defensiveness, all hardened edges.

I think so. At the least, I wasn't unlucky enough to be possessed by a demon.

[she's physically hurt but she does seem to be holding it together decently. though there are some little flashes of ugly, envious thoughts. Of course the others feel they can just fall apart on us.]

I know they are all treated as though they are dangerous, though in this, we actually were quite dangerous.
